  • Oh gerbils, it must be tough being you.  You really love that little box I gave you for a house, but you must be having a real internal struggle, combating your insatiable need to chew to pieces everything you can get your hands paws teeth on.

  • I've ragged on doctors for always trying to find ways of attaching new symptoms to a preexisting condition, rather than bothering to entertain the idea that they could be unrelated, but lately I've wondered if I've done the same thing to myself.  I let myself get scared by things that other people might just write off as the result of stress or tiredness.  Generally, it seems that not knowing origins is more frightening than having a discrete answer, so it's funny when the suspected answer is the scary part.

Sitting in traffic and watching the light turn green, and knowing that that means I'm supposed to do something, but not quite remembering exactly what.

Feeling around for the light switch for a good 30 seconds on the wrong side of the door in the house I've lived in my whole life.

Regularly saying semantically unrelated words in place of the actual words I was thinking.  They generally start with the same letter or have the same number of syllables, but that doesn't quite cut it.  Afterall, "I just got back from clean" isn't quite the same as "I just got back from class."

Forgetting to bring things, do things, be places, ALL THE TIME.  I'm not sure I've ever met someone who's been locked out their house/room, car, lab, etc as many times as I have.  Thanks, keys, for slipping my mind.  Again.

All things that shouldn't be as terrifying as they sometimes are.  Probably stress, probably the fact that I sleep like a night watchman.  It's just when they throw around "cognitive dysfunction" and "CNS involvement" in the fine print that everyday absentmindedness seems a lot more like a symptom.  That's...worrisome.

  • Guess who has a Genetics test from 1-2pm in Charlottesville and a doctor's appointment in Great Falls at 4:30pm tomorrow?  Me!

Guess which counties in Virginia include speeding ticket revenue in their annual budgets? Albemarle, Green, Madison, Culpeper and Fauquier!

    Ohhhh boy!
